Autism

Diagnosis

  • Have you wondered about your unique thinking, experiences, and ways of interacting with others and whether you are Autistic or an ADHDer?
  • Have your concerns been dismissed by others or been given a diagnosis that does not seem to fit?
  • Is it hard to find someone who will listen and validate your experiences and give proper diagnosis to explain these?
I hear countless stories from others who have been gaslighted by their doctors, family members and friends, who tell them "You are not autistic because...you are too smart, too friendly, too verbal, emotional, etc." Many have sought help from numerous providers and have been misdiagnosed or have received years of counseling, but continue to struggle with little improvement.
Due to the lack of accurate information about autism and neurodiversity, many do not realize they are autistic until later in life and many who did know or receive diagnosis continue to face the challenge of trying to conform to a world based on neuronormative standards and expectations.

Over the past 8 years, the focus of my practice has been on diagnosing and offering therapeutic support for autism, ADHD, and other diverse thinkers and doers. My mission is to help others understand and embrace neurodiversity in themselves, as well as those around them and I believe that with accurate information and understanding, others will come to see the amazing gifts that neurodiversity has to offer and change these unhelpful societal standards.

Evaluation process

Diagnosis of Autism requires a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation by a clinical psychologist trained in neurodevelopmental assessment and diagnosis. This includes evidenced based diagnostic assessments of social, communication, sensory experiences, ways of thinking and interacting.

I completed speciality training through Harvard Medical Services focused on evaluating and diagnosing autism using “gold standard” assessments that are required by most insurances and therapeutic programs. I review everything, including official diagnosis (if there is one) with you on the same day and you are given a detailed written diagnostic report with recommendations and resources specific to your needs.

Virtual Assessments

Virtual assessments offer the same in depth understanding and clarity as traditional in-person evaluations without the need for excessive travel, allowing you to receive your neuro-affirming care in the environment you are most familiar and comfortable with. Virtual evaluations provide clear diagnoses and recommendations specific to you and your unique needs and strengths.

They are quick and efficient, with no waitlists, reports completed within 1-2 days, transparent diagnostic procedures, and increased privacy and confidentiality.

Diagnosis for Children

Feeling angry and heartbroken seeing your child struggle at school? Being excluded by peers and harshly disciplined for their behavior when you keep thinking “Why can’t they see my child is trying their best?” “It’s not fair that my child gets punished for things they can’t control.” “I’m tired of defending my child when others don’t understand what’s really going on.”

Neurodiverse children often get labelled as “bad” and oppositional, which applify their challenges and lead to “fight or flight” reactions.

Imagine being able to understand how your child thinks, feels, and responds to the world around them, why they struggle, and help them be treated with compassion and celebrated for their strengths.

Receiving proper diagnosis is key to gaining support and skills that will allow your child to thrive at school and life. I have over 10 years of experience evaluating and diagnosing autism, ADHD, and other neurodiverse children using evidence based tests.

Autism Therapy

Feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by daily life? Do you feel defeated by the constant battle with anxiety, sensory overload, emotional meltdowns? Do everyday tasks become daunting, and misunderstandings leave you feeling isolated and unheard?

Imagine a life where you feel calm, capable, and empowered to express who you are—without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll work to gain practical tools to help you manage sensory input, navigate challenging situations, and communicate in ways that feel true to you.

Ready to find balance, self-acceptance, and clarity in a world that often feels overwhelming? Let’s take this step together.
Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) is a psychotherapy method that combines mindfulness and skills for positive behavioral change. It's based on the idea that life is filled with pain, but it doesn't have to be filled with suffering. ACT can help neurodiverse people to accept their unique neurotype and ways of thinking and interacting with the world, without judgment and with self-compassion. Through this approach you will develop psychological flexibility, manage distressing thoughts and emotions, and live more meaningful lives according to your values.
“Diagnosing with care, supporting with heart, We help every journey with a confident start."
